The Great Indian Dancers are an Indian
drum and dance group who perform a colourful and
exciting harvest folk dance from the Punjab called
'Bhangra' which continues to enjoy critical acclaim
within their own Asian community, due to their unequalled
success in winning Bhangra competitions nationwide.
Fortunately, they do not restrict their activities
to competition and have sought to give exposure
to their art where and whenever they can. Consequently
they have a very impressive c.v., having appeared
at the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Conference Centre
and The Commonwealth Institute domestically, and
on the international stage having performed to 60,000
people at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton. Finally
the group have also enjoyed exposure in the world
of Television and Film displaying their talents
in England and by satellite around the world. They
have already made 3 appearances on the 'Generation
Game' and have even appeared in a Bollywood Movie!
